cotton is the best lint. the three biggest comsumers of cotton are the household dryer, the moth, and the belly button. now, chesthair, to many peoples dismay, was invented by mother nature to devour t-shirts. if you notice, most chesthair patterns tend to all direct their growth toward the navel. this is how the belly button eats. it reminds me of the desert scene in return of the jedi when the sand monster thing grabs onto lando calrission (billy dee williams, colt 45, it works every time) and tries to eat him but does not sucseed.

belly button lint is a great way to tipp. leave the normal 18 to 20% and your stored lint from the shirt of the day. you're showing your appreciation to the employee by giving them a piece of the shirt off your back.

beware of over drying your shirts. your dryer might like your shirt more than your chesthair. use moth balls.

it wasn't your average trip to the portal. it's usually a solo or a plus one kinda mission, and with the mindset of indiana jones. this was a mission to capture a image. or numerous images. our team consisted of a heavy metal italian with a hip hop edge and a liking for getting a deep lobster tan, a street kid soon to be daada who peers through lenses and examines light, a 19 year old mini man truck life liver who wants to know the best way to get rid of hicups in a drunkin state, a balding debaser on the border of implosion due to the absurdity of life, a hair compressing(c300) stylist, a masking exteamster, a partying lover of tassels in the color of coral, a scorpio hand holder that thinks in numbers, a lover of flashdance and firefighters, and a model.

the lens holder had a vision.
so did the coral lover.

there was a medium...it was met, with a lil' OT and a lil' less light.

there was black kettles (i didn't paint'm black), arrows, bows, knifes,a beau or bo horse (depending how you look at it), whiskey the blu healer, artifacts under the feet which many or all had no idea were under us, landscapes, colors, and shades you'd see only in dreams. and of coarse, marty robbins mustache made an appearance via el paso through a banquet beer.

but in the end, after the objective was accomplished...there was the hoof. and at some point it had to be smelt. thank you britt. and now to the photoshopping.

The Secret to Life

Hi, I’m Scott – George’s son in law.

George was a renaissance man. He knew a lot, about a lot of stuff. He even claimed to know the secret to life.

Before I let you know what it is, I have to tell you about my relationship with George. I loved him. He meant the world to me. He was a father and a best friend. He made me apart of his family. He gave me the hand to his daughter.

Together we traveled, to Mexico to the Sierras, we wandered. We hiked, looked at plants and marveled at the natural world. We built houses. We gardened. Partied. We shot guns. We talked about women, being married and raising kids. He was apart of the birth of my children. We surfed 8 foot waves, well sort of. We played like little boys.

George lived life. He walked to his own beat. He inspired me. He told me, The Secret to Life, was to have fun. We had a lot of fun together.

On my last conversation with George, the day before he passed away, he told me to take care of myself and my family. I will.

ya see, the word "STOKED" gets thrown around way to easily these days. kinda like a Canadian whore. not that i know that they're easy, but, i did have one say she stick around to eat footloops with me after. that conversation never got off the street.

anyhoo, "stoked", can only be pertained to a surfer. and, the only definition for "stoked", is when "a surfer is so excited about the surf he just had or is going to have, he is caught in bliss."

so, for like 6 weeks now, i have kinda lost the stoke. not cool. for most surfers the stoke is what keeps them alive. like a drug. a true surfer "whatever that is" will not act like the same person if the stoke is out of his body. i needed it back. desperately.
so, 2 days ago, i went surfing and the waves were acceptionally good. instead of surfing the standard board "like the ones you see kelly slater on" i paddled out a little foam board. not a tool...a toy. and holy shit. the stoked entered my body before i even got in the water. i was hootin and holla'n, and giggle'n like a little kid. i caught a bunch of waves and even got barreled on that lil'thang. super fun.
the stoke is back, and i'm glad it is. everything i engage in has a little more light on it now. like a satin finish.

i love my friends. no hard feelings.

i went to a superbowl (like how most of us do) party and drank water, got introduced to a bunch of new people, and got heat from some friends who thought my flip phone was vintage.

i find that my whole superbowl sunday was quite odd. my daily battle against myself and the damaging effects of technolige was recurring theme throughout the super day.

a day when girlfriends and housewifes, dude's and bro's come together to celebrate and non-religious holiday (if you will) of bad (but taste great) food, panther piss beers, onion dip (dambit jim...ask mat fryend that story) and betting.

so, again, i only drank water. i'm trying something new. my good buddy "straps", was at this shinner with his soon to be wife and we struck up a nice conversation about old times, new times, and of course...times to come. it seemed to me my flip phone was a reaccurring theme in a lot of the conversations that i was having with people. but, in those conversations there was a lot of complaining of lack of time these days to get things done and so on and so forth.

for the record...i love my friends and whatever tickles the pickle. but what most people forget to remember is that the 27Q network that sinks up your MYBOOK to yer tweeter to your BUDS (not the beer...bummer) and into your(to cheep to call it goldtoof)bluetooof, is all that shit takes up time. fuck 27Q. just have an email. get home and cheeck it. (but its linked to my business??? blahblahblah..) whatever... when will real life take back over? just a plain cell phone is a complete interuption. much less than all the other crap i just named off. mmmmmm....i can't even go on a date with a phone. get all baffled when the phone vibrates or rings and ruins the flow of, we'll...what ever is fucking happening. wow.

i like my flip phone, and if you like your 27Q network well, good on ya. but, i hate being interupted, especially with my friends. so i'll stick with the flip. and try to use it sparingly.

also, i know when i hang up, i'm hung up. let the shit talking begin Hahahaha.

here is a couple of pictures of scott and i's first trip to NYC together in april of 95'. we were nineteen. we both had fake i.d's. Luxy was at julliard and we got into some shit. you can tell by the smerk on my grill. this was before giuliani got into office and time square wasent' a fucking shopping mall, it was a porn palace, and hells kitchen was still a fcckin scary place to be. it snowed the day we left on the way to JFK. it was april 19th. trip.

so. just walked back in my room after circumnavigating the country in 8 days on a team driving trip that took me to the south, lake erie, akron, and through the bible belt.

tired i am. i think yoda said that once.

and the trip out to Rolacado has been canceled. i won't be able to be the "help wanted" ad for halloween but, instead, i will be headed down to the big easy to work and play at the 'voodoo music festavis'. the line up looks alright and weirdness looks amazing.

How do you easily explain varying economic models easily? In an updated take on an old classic, you use cows. This via email so I’m not sure where it came from originally, but it’s a good read.

SOCIALISM
You have 2 cows.
You give one to your neighbor.

COMMUNISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and gives you some milk.

FASCISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and sells you some milk.

NAZISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and shoots you.

BUREAUCRATISM

The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other, and then throws the milk away.

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM

You sell one and buy a bull.
